Sitting Grand Prix #6 and Final 4 Review - Help for Heroes and Sitting Bucks claim golden tickets

This weekend saw the first set of golden tickets handed out for Cup Finals Weekend as the two teams who've topped the rankings all season - Help for Heroes and Sitting Bucks - set up a repeat of the 2025 Sitting Cup Final.

Final 4

Help 4 Heroes A set the tone early with a composed 2-0 victory over Salisbury Spitfires (25-19, 25-11). Controlling the tempo throughout, they showed the consistency that has defined their season and immediately positioned themselves as the team to beat.

Sitting Bucks matched that statement in their opening fixture, defeating South Hants 2-0 (25-13, 25-14).

The two early winners continued their momentum into the second round of fixtures. Sitting Bucks delivered another commanding performance, overcoming Salisbury Spitfires 2-0 (25-13, 25-12) to strengthen their claim for a golden ticket.

Meanwhile, Help 4 Heroes A were pushed much harder by South Hants in a competitive three-set battle. After taking the first set 25–19, they were pegged back as the south coast side responded to claim the second 25–18.

However, the league leaders showed their composure in the decider, pulling away to win 15-7 and secure a crucial 2–1 success.

South Hants bounced back strongly in their final fixture, defeating Salisbury Spitfires 2-0 (25-9, 25-12) to finish the day and their GP season on a positive note.

That left the final match of the day as a straight shoot-out between the top two once again, with Help 4 Heroes A and Sitting Bucks going head to head.

Sitting Bucks took the opening set 25-17 with confident attacking play, but Help 4 Heroes A responded in style to claim the second 25–21, setting up a winner-takes-all third set.

In a tense decider, Sitting Bucks edged ahead at the key moments to seal a 15-8 victory and a 2=1 win overall, gaining a measure of revenge after several narrow defeats this season throughout the Grand Prix series.
